Laser Skin Rejuvenation Basics

During laser skin resurfacing, a beam of laser energy is used to very precisely vaporize the upper layers of damaged skin. Laser Skin Rejuvenation Treatments

During the procedure, the laser is carefully passed back and forth over the skin until the optimal depth has been reached. Multiple treatments may be necessary to achieve your desired results. After laser resurfacing, the treated area is usually red (like a sunburn) for two to three days. The skin may also feel tight and may be slightly swollen. Within the first week there is peeling and flaking of the skin, revealing the smoother, clearer, more vibrant skin patients desire.
