Dr. Aziz Merchant, a doctor of homeopathy at our Edmonton clinic, completed his degree in Homeopathic medicine in 2006, at the end of a 5 1/2 year program w hich included a 1 year clinical internship. His thesis on Homeopathic Management of Post Myocardial Infarction patients was considered a commendable work and was selected as an approved topic by the Interpathy Research Cell of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.

In 2006, he went on to pursue his M.D. in advanced Homeopathy from Bombay where he had the opportunity to apprentice with some of the best Homeopaths in India and gained intensive clinical experience in treating chronic, debilitating illnesses as well as acute diseases. He also lectured at the postgraduate research institute for 3 years, teaching Anatomy, Pathology, Medicine and Homeopathic Materia Medica.

He brings to the Canadian Homeopathic scene a fresh perspective that emphasizes the genetic constitutional make up of the patient and lays importance on embryology and genetics in studying the disease pattern of each case, since no two diseased individuals have similar symptoms and etiologies, which enables him to give consistent results in even serious pathological cases.

He has been practicing for the past 5 years in India and has patients across the Indian subcontinent, the Gulf countries and North America.
